Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain GIS applications and tools using industry-standard software and programming languages
Integrate geospatial data with web applications, enterprise systems, and third-party platforms
Customize GIS software solutions (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to meet specific project requirements
Create and manage spatial databases, ensuring data integrity and usability
Perform geospatial analysis to support decision-making and create high-quality visualizations and maps
Develop automated workflows using scripting languages like Python to improve efficiency
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design GIS solutions tailored to their needs
Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems
Provide technical support, documentation, and training to users of GIS applications
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS software and systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS development or software engineering
Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C#
Experience with web development frameworks
Proficiency in working with spatial databases such as SQL Server
Knowledge of APIs and web services
Strong understanding of geospatial principles, data formats, and coordinate systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively
16+ yrs. managing complex geodatabases with ESRI GIS software
16+ yrs. manipulating geospatial data (data conversion and geocoding)
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C#
Customize GIS software solutions (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to meet specific project requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain GIS applications and tools using industry-standard software and programming languages
Perform geospatial analysis to support decision-making and create high-quality visualizations and maps
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS software and systems
Preferred
Familiarity with machine learning and AI techniques for geospatial analysis
Experience with web development frameworks
Knowledge of APIs and web services
Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools
Proficiency in working with spatial databases such as SQL Server
