InternVeritiv is a leading full-service provider of packaging solutions, and they are seeking an Indirect Procurement Intern to assist in identifying business category opportunities and developing category strategies. The intern will collaborate with internal customers, streamline processes, and manage vendor relationships to drive cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with multiple internal customers on projects and presentations
Identify opportunities to streamline process improvements
Take ownership of a project and then assist other team members to support company initiatives
Assist in managing a specific Indirect Category by sourcing goods and services, including but not limited to equipment, services, software, and hardware
Help develop and implement a category strategy collaborating with the organization
Participate in a various of responsibilities pertaining to the vendor management process including but not limited to vendor negotiations, performance and contract development
Create a collaborative environment for the selection of key vendors for your assigned category
Help conduct RFP/RFQ
Provide market analysis
Negotiate contracts terms and performance metrics to drive value to Veritiv
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a general business, supply chain, marketing, management or economics degree
Must have a high level of integrity, energy, and leadership ability
Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work quickly and efficiently
Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills
Must be highly motivated, flexible and deadline driven
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong planning and organization skills
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills
The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Bachelor's Degree In Progress
