Responsibilities
Demonstrates sound knowledge and proficiency in the use of CAT Scan and MRI equipment, including MRI breast biopsy
Perform CAT Scan exams per protocol in a timely manner
Perform MRI exams per protocol on a variety of different body parts in a timely manner
Complete appropriate history forms and medication reconciliation forms as needed
Complete consent forms
Stock rooms with supplies
Check labs when necessary and demonstrate proficiency in use of ISTAT machine
Perform data entry in Meditech using accurate times
Verify doctor orders. Follow Doctor’s orders on protocols
Match previous exams and reports
Interact with Radiologists. Communicate effectively with customers as necessary. (physicians, patients, co-workers, etc)
Organize patients for best work flow
Print films or CD's
Perform weekly QA
Check out films to patients
Complete MRI pre-exam screening
Greet patients
Move patients on and off table
Mark verified/dictated in PACS
Scan documents into PACS, attached to correct exam
Send exams from PACS or modality to the Amicus telerad system when necessary
Enter exam notes on PACS
Demonstrate proficiency in starting INT
Administer contrast media with power injector
Qualification
Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(ARRT-R) Radiography
(RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
Vocational School Graduate
