Electrical Engineer - Avionics and Sensor Payloads

Skyfront is a manufacturer of the world's longest endurance drones, serving both commercial and defense applications. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and program avionics, collision avoidance, and sensor systems for their next generation of extreme endurance drones, which involves hands-on leadership in a challenging role.

Responsibilities

Create new versions of autopilot and engine control unit designs
Create and integrate devices to detect and avoid obstacles
Define the architecture and select components for a complex embedded electromechanical system
Integrate sophisticated cameras and sensors
Incorporate DFM and other manufacturing considerations
Responsible for solving complex product failures for improved product reliability and performance
Managing production runs of PCBs

Qualification

AltiumEmbedded C++Troubleshooting electronic circuitryArdupilotTroubleshooting EMI/RF problemsProblem-solving skills

Required

Experience with Altium or equivalent PCB CAD package
Strong problem-solving skills
Troubleshooting electronic circuitry
Embedded C++

Preferred

Experience with Ardupilot or PX4 flight controller software
Troubleshooting EMI/RF problems
