Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize SQL-based applications within the Körber/HighJump WMS to support scalable and high-performing warehouse operations
Write and maintain stored procedures, triggers, functions, and scripts to support core WMS functionality, reporting, and automation
Collaborate with operations and project teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and database logic that meet KPIs and SLAs
Perform system configuration and custom development to enable new features and workflows
Lead testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of SQL code and application logic to ensure reliability and performance
Create and maintain functional and technical design documents to capture development work
Provide technical support and hands-on training for operations teams, acting as a WMS subject matter expert
Evaluate system performance and propose improvements through database optimization, indexing, and query tuning
Partner with integration teams to ensure clean data flows (EDI, API, SFTP, etc.), with focus on downstream impacts to SQL-based applications
Act as a change agent to support transition from as-is to to-be systems and processes
Qualification
Required
2-3 years leading WMS experience or programming expertise; including functional, technical, implementation or deployment
2-3 years of experience leading WMS Implementations, warehouse operations focused continual improvement, or other relevant experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills, both external and internal, are key to this role
Demonstrated planning, task organizing and execution skills
Working knowledge of popular agile software development methodologies, Lean, etc
Working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Office products
A willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
