Responsibilities
Would be expected to provide the following to others on the design team to effectively and successfully complete projects:
Technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, of all project work involving mechanical engineering
Technical training and development of staff
Establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for mechanical discipline area
Engineer of Record
Provide 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions - technical and cost estimates
Coordination with all of the disciplines involved, including outside consultants
Technical interface with code officials and contractors
Qualification
Required
Accomplished mechanical engineer/PE with 10 + years of progressive technical experience in the design of mechanical systems for healthcare projects
Experience should include design and evaluation of central chilled water and boiler plants, HVAC design of various departments/spaces found in a typical hospital, ambulatory surgery centers, freestanding emergency departments, medical office buildings, technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success providing technical oversight on projects that meet contract specifications and technical standards to the client on time and within budget
Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Well organized, takes good notes
