Mid LevelThe Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) has been proclaiming the Gospel for over 70 years and is seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician to join their Facilities Department. The role involves performing general building maintenance services to ensure a safe and efficient work environment, including tasks such as lighting repairs, plumbing, and general appliance repairs.

Responsibilities
Perform basic building maintenance services including but not limited to lighting repairs, material handling and delivery, minor plumbing repair, general appliance and mechanical repairs and adjustments: floor care and interior and exterior painting
Reconfiguration of modular office and case goods furniture
Basic maintenance and cleaning of BGEA fleet vehicles
Assisting with various grounds keeping duties including leaf, limb and debris removal, general lawn equipment maintenance and repair
Escorting various vendors throughout the facility
Assist with heating, ventilation and air conditioning maintenance and repairs
Cleaning and adjusting doors, windows, and various building components
Minor repairs to ceilings – suspended ceilings and drywall
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA's Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
Ability to read, write and speak English
Basic math skills
Must have a valid NC/ SC drivers license with a clean driving record
Ability to operate power tools and machines properly and safely, including but not limited to: company vehicles, trucks, tractors, forklifts, material carts, pressure washers, janitorial tools hand tools, security system; two-way radios; telephone; calculator; copy machine; fax machine
Ability to use a computerized work order system to receive and close work assignments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to get to all areas of the Charlotte facilities
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Flexibility to do a variety of duties simultaneously
Possibility of multiple interruptions at any given time
Work indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather
Potentially hazardous materials and/or conditions
Must be willing to work overtime (early or late), if necessary
