Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing broadband connectivity. The Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and test secondary structures for satellite systems, ensuring all requirements are met while optimizing for high volume production.

Responsibilities
Mechanical design and layout trades contributing to overall system architecture configuration selection, requiring knowledge and experience in understanding, collaborating and trading complex inputs from multiple other disciplines – Electrical, RF, Thermal, Dynamics, Mechanisms, Materials, Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test
Generate detailed designs with 3D CAD assemblies/components and 2D drawings as deliverables
Conduct static, dynamic, and modal structural analysis as needed to support design work
Deliver efficient designs capable of high volume production throughput (DFM, DFA)
Documentation and presentation of materials for technical design reviews
Design and support test campaigns, both development and qualification/acceptance, for space hardware
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with prototyping and implementation
Preferred
Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
Experience with NX and Teamcenter
