Responsibilities
Design and develop robust data models that meet business requirements and support analytics initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into effective database designs
Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses
Utilize NoSQL databases alongside traditional relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle for optimal performance
Leverage big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Azure Data Lake for advanced analytics solutions
Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of data across all platforms
Create documentation for data models, database designs, and ETL processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of projects
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in data modeling techniques and best practices
Strong experience with SQL for querying databases; familiarity with Bash (Unix shell) is a plus
Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Python for data manipulation tasks
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for deploying data solutions
Familiarity with tools such as Informatica for ETL processes
Understanding of linked data concepts and their application in modern database design
Ability to analyze complex datasets to derive meaningful insights through analytics
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a detail-oriented mindset
