Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level VoIP solutions
Oversee the migration from legacy PBX systems to modern, IP-based communications platforms
Evaluate, configure, and maintain VoIP infrastructure including gateways, SBCs, SIP trunks, and unified communications platforms
Establish security standards and best practices for voice communication systems, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements
Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain high availability and quality of service
Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to integrate VoIP with enterprise systems and ensure end-to-end reliability
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support teams
Prepare documentation, training materials, and support plans for operational continuity

Required

U.S. Citizenship Required
Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance
Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or Associate's degree and 14 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience
Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting VoIP or unified communications systems
Proven expertise with SIP, RTP, QoS, and VoIP protocols, including hands-on experience with major platforms (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya Aura, Microsoft Teams Phone)
Strong understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, SBCs, and QoS)
Experience with VoIP security practices, including encryption, SRTP, and SIP TLS
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex, enterprise-level projects

Preferred

Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems
Professional certifications such as CCNP Collaboration, ACSS, or MS-700
Familiarity with cloud-based telephony solutions (e.g., Zoom Phone, RingCentral, or similar)
Experience in large-scale migrations and disaster recovery planning
