Responsibilities

Prepare for a successful career in technical sales as an Account Manager (AM) or in sales engineering as a Sales Engineer (SE)
Strengthen connections with current customers and identify new business opportunities as an AM
Serve as the technical bridge between Ciena’s current and future customers as an SE
Engage with customers in a consultative capacity, utilizing technical aptitude to design networks
Cultivate sales and profitability within current accounts and develop business strategies to drive new client opportunities
Participate in classroom-based and hands-on training with networking, mentoring, and coaching opportunities
Learn to prospect for new business, solve problems, and understand excellent customer service
Undertake deep dives into Ciena’s product portfolios, customer landscape, and the end-to-end sales cycle

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in EngineeringBachelor’s Degree in BusinessTechnical sales experienceConsultative sellingCommunication skillsNegotiation skills
