Senior Machinist/Programmer
Astranis Space Technologies builds advanced satellites for high orbits, expanding humanity’s reach into the solar system. The Senior Machinist/Programmer will support avionics, power, and payload systems by building and testing various circuit boards and collaborating with engineering teams to debug issues.

Responsibilities
Rework, assemble, and debug printed circuit board assembly's (PCBAs)
Inspect incoming boards to IPC-610 Class 2/3 standards
Apply, remove, and rework conformal coating, staking, and other polymeric adhesives
Lead form components to match engineering footprints and drawings
Work with cross functional engineering team to support new developments
Collaborate with design engineers to develop and document future activities
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of experience working hands-on as a technician in the aerospace, automotive, or similar industries
Electrical rework and soldering skills (0201 components)
Wire crimping and harness assembly
Familiarity with precision calibrated tools (calipers, torque wrenches, etc) for enclosure assembly
Excellent attention to detail
Must be onsite 5 days a week
U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, Or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
Preferred
A.S. electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering technology or equivalent technical programs
J-STD-001 certification
Experience working in a clean room environment
Experience working with electrical schematics and PCB design files, especially in Altium
Experience working with EE bench test equipment (power supplies, multimeters)
Advanced soldering and rework skills (BGA or similar high density packages)
