Responsibilities

Develops and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and customer and sales input
Develops and maintains a successful co-planning process
Analyzes customer demand, purchase orders and backlog on a daily/weekly basis. Identifies problem areas and drive appropriate customer engagement and internal functional groups to correct
Engages with customers to identify opportunities
Identifies and helps the sales team develop opportunities for short, mid, and long-term successes
Creates supply plans that meets consensus demand forecasts, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimal stockouts or overstock situations
Coordinates with production and procurement teams to align demand plans with manufacturing capabilities and supplier lead times
Synchronize demand and supply plans
Monitors inventory levels and implements strategies to improve inventory turnover and reduce excess inventory
Identifies and resolves discrepancies between actual inventory and system records as needed
Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, forecast churn, aged inventory and customer service levels measured by customer scorecards and feedback
Prepares and presents regular reports to senior management on demand and supply performance
Contributes to internal reviews connected to demand and sales planning
Utilizes Seagate tools and processes for customer advocacy. Leverages the existing tools, processes and resources to assure customer satisfaction and loyalty
Develops and maintains a professional relationship network within the account to maximize efficiency and effectiveness for Seagate
Serves as the primary point of contact, ensuring that the customers demand, and supply needs are met
Works closely with customers to understand their demand patterns and adjust supply plans accordingly
Articulates a two-way connection between the customer's core KPIs, business priorities and initiatives, and the plan to support the customer with storage solutions
Positions Seagate’s strategy and solutions in such a way that the customer sees that Seagate is critically important to their business
Provides feedback into other Seagate organizations and coordinates with other customer facing Seagate organizations to improve the customer experience
Continuously reviews and improves demand and supply planning processes to enhance efficiencies and overall effectiveness
Implements best practices and leverages technology to automate and streamline planning activities
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure alignment and effective communication
Acts as a project manager of the account; pulling together actions, owners, dates to close to keep propelling critical activities and tasks forward

Required

Extensive experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related field
Proficiency in demand forecasting and supply planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in supply chain management
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred

Certification in supply chain management (e.g., ASCM – CPIM, ASCM-CSCP)
Experience in Supply Chain, Inside Sales and/or Account Management
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau)
