Responsibilities

Work collaboratively as part of a team responsible for the engineering and operational development of transporting critical flight hardware, including first and second stages
Support the design and development of fixed ground equipment, mobile transport systems, and offshore vessel support hardware
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including vehicle design and operations—to define and implement requirements, engineering solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout all phases of transport
Oversee the engineering, fabrication, and construction of essential assets for all transportation and operational phases
Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Develop and analyze metrics to track operational effectiveness and budgetary performance
Contribute to broader organizational goals, including landing system development, launch site development, and other infrastructure initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and professional development
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, based on operational needs
Ability to work in outdoor environments, including extended periods offshore on a vessel or during overland travel
Willingness to travel to other company sites for cross-functional collaboration
Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Preferred

Experience with the planning and execution of heavy and/or oversized load transport operations
Experience operating or working with heavy machinery movers such as Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs), multi-axle trailers, or similar equipment
Familiarity with vehicle swept path analysis tools and techniques
Experience supporting offshore operations, vessel-based logistics, or marine asset development
