They are seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support their growing business by performing geotechnical field work, laboratory testing, and assisting engineers with proposals and reports.

Responsibilities
Performing geotechnical field work including observing geotechnical subsurface exploration, using GPS to layout borings, and performing infiltration testing
Performing construction observation and materials testing at construction sites
Performing laboratory testing
Create basic plans and figures using AutoCAD and GIS
Providing support to engineers on preparing geotechnical proposals and reports
Some travel may be required
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor's. Enrollment in other college engineering or relevant science programs may be considered
Possess good oral and written communication skills and computer literacy
Ability to work with direction as part of a team
Willingness to perform a variety of tasks including office and field work
Desire and willingness to work outdoors
Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds
Must possess a valid driver's license as driving is an essential function of the job
Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil Engineering
Junior, senior, and graduate students only
Prior professional work or summer intern work in a related field
