Assistant or Associate Professor in Media Technology
The University of Florida is a leading institution recognized for its excellence in communication scholarship and professional skills development. They are seeking two tenure-track faculty members for the Department of Media Production, Management, and Technology, focusing on media technology and management, starting August 2026.

Responsibilities
Conduct original research that examines the psychological processing, and/or the economic, societal, ethical, and cultural implications of media technologies
Teach core courses and elective courses in the Department of Media Production, Management, and Technology, including RTV3002 Understanding Audiences, RTV4800 Media Management & Strategy, and/or RTV 3432 Ethics and Problems in Media
Develop new courses in the department and teach graduate-level courses within the College of Journalism and Communications
Qualification
Required
The candidate must have a terminal degree (Ph.D., J.D.) in a field related to media and communication, or in a field related to social sciences with a focus on media and communication by August 2026
Preferred
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a record of scholarship in areas of media technology and management that leads to strong publications and a high likelihood of securing internal and external funding
The assistant professor candidate should also demonstrate their potential in establishing a national and international reputation
The associate professor candidate should demonstrate their national and international reputation
