Intern - Park Management (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is seeking an Intern for Park Management during the summer months. This internship will provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in park management, including customer service, project organization, and habitat improvement.

Responsibilities
Learning the Point of Sale system
Troubleshooting problems for other employees
Customer service skills
Basic building and grounds maintenance
Organizational and leadership skills
Developing programs
Improving habitat within the park
Organizing and managing park projects
Educating visitors to park rules and enforce them as needed
Will alternate between day and evening shifts
Qualification
Required
Applicant must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
