Responsibilities

Build tools and workflows that improve internal efficiency and collaboration, prevent internal data silos and process breakdowns, and scale with global growth
Automate time-intensive, repetitive tasks to significantly reduce manual effort
Fuse data from multiple unstructured sources to build organized, usable data repositories
Create shared tools that enable self-service access, allowing teams to explore and analyze data independently
Build and maintain high quality automation to assist with Starlink’s policy objectives and continued growth
Work closely with Starlink Regulatory and partner teams to assess future needs and position the company accordingly

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or a STEM discipline
1+ years of experience in analytics, data science, data engineering, or software engineering
1+ years of experience in Python and SQL
This position is based in Washington, DC and requires being onsite - remote work not considered
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
This role may be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Preferred

Understanding of database structures, schema design, query optimizations, ETL development
Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
Expertise in designing software systems
Front-end experience in React, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks
Experience working with in-stream data processing of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
Experience creating and managing dashboards using data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI)
Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences at all organizational levels
Demonstrated ability to take on projects requiring initiative, development of new expertise, and full ownership from inception to completion
