Responsibilities
Knowledge of the procedures performed and anticipates the surgeon's needs, including providing instruments, sutures and supplies
Contribute to the patient's safety by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
Qualification
Required
Successful completion from an accredited school or college course for Surgical Technologist required
Certification from the Surgical Technology Exam or eligibility to sit for the exam
BLS/AED training
Preferred
Experience scrubbing into a variety of specialties preferred
Knowledge of regulatory agencies and practice (eg. Nurse Practice Act, Infection Control, OSHA, DOH)
