Technical Sales Engineer
nLIGHT, Inc. is a leading provider of high-power semiconductors and fiber lasers for various applications. The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for managing established OEM accounts, identifying new sales opportunities, and driving sales systems utilization and improvements.

Responsibilities
Manage and grow established OEM accounts
Qualify and follow up on new sales leads and manage the engagement through CRM
Liaison between the customer and nLIGHT’s product engineering teams to drive complete understanding of end-customer needs
Facilitate technical support from nLIGHT’s product teams to outside sales and customers
Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events
Qualification
Required
BS in technology-related field, with preference for Physics or Engineering, is required
3+ years of engineering experience
Experience in a customer-facing role with a track record of customer responsiveness
Constructive and proactive verbal and written communication skills
Experience using ERP and/or CRM systems
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, estimated at less than 10%
Knowledge of photonic products and markets is desired
Preferred
MS or PhD is desired
1+ years of experience in technical sales role is desired
Alternatively, a strong desire to transition from an engineering role into sales, coupled with excellent communication skills will be considered
