Responsibilities

Assisting in the daily operation of the Pulmonary Diagnostics Laboratory under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Coordinator

Assists the Pulmonary Attending Physicians and Pulmonary Fellows in the performance of pulmonary diagnostic procedures

Handles each patient on an individual basis to assure their specific needs are met

Assists in the training of both Cardiopulmonary Technology and Respiratory Therapy student interns

Responsible for the daily work assignments and the operations within the lab

Qualification

Registered Respiratory TherapistRegistered Pulmonary Function TechnologistBasic Life SupportCardiopulmonary TechnologyRespiratory Therapy

Required

Graduate of an accredited 2- or 4-year Cardiopulmonary or Respiratory Therapy program

Current BPR license in Respiratory Care (if applicable)

Current Basic Life Support

National Board for Respiratory Care - Registered Respiratory Therapist or Cardiopulmonary Technologist

National Board for Respiratory Care - Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (may obtain within first 12 months of employment)
