The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression is dedicated to defending individual rights related to free speech and thought. The Arthur D. Hellman Fellowship offers law students a 10-week paid opportunity to engage in First Amendment litigation while working closely with experienced litigators at FIRE.

Making meaningful contributions to active cases
Qualification
Required
Rising 2Ls and 3Ls with excellent academic credentials
Demonstrated passion for civil liberties and public-interest litigation
Collaborative and detail-oriented
Deeply committed to the principles of free expression
Legally authorized to work in the United States
