Responsibilities

Reviews shipping records, customs entries, and commercial invoices to determine duty drawback eligibility and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Compiles supporting documentation, calculates potential refunds, and submits claims to customs authorities accurately and timely

Stays current on U.S. Customs and international trade regulations to ensure claims meet all legal standards and reduce compliance risks

Collaborates with logistics, finance, and compliance teams to streamline claim processes and resolves discrepancies or documentation gaps

Organizes and updates records of all drawback-related activities and generates reports to track performance and recovery metrics

Required

Understanding of Duty Drawback: Knowledge of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) duty drawback program and its various components

Strong Data Analysis Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and calculate refund amounts

Communication Skills: Effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders

Strong Attention to Detail: Accuracy in preparing and submitting claims is crucial

Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the drawback process

Experience: 2 Years import/export related experience

Preferred

Education: AA Degree (2 years college) preferred
