Responsibilities
Lead monitoring, investigation, and response to security events and incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Manage and optimize security stack to include: SIEM, Endpoint security, Identity and Access Management, SSL certificates, vulnerability scans and remediation management
Conduct advanced security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential weaknesses in our systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure deployment processes
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s IT infrastructure and operations to ensure a holistic security approach
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including PCI
Stay current with emerging cyber threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend proactive measures to enhance our security posture
Participate in the evaluation and selection of security tools, technologies, and vendors to enhance our cybersecurity capabilities
Mentor and guide junior engineers and provide leadership during business-impacting events
Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to deliver full project lifecycle solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or equivalent work experience required
6+ years of Information Security or related technology experience, with increasing responsibilities
Strong, hands-on experience in security operations, including incident response, endpoint protection, malware/threat analysis, network/host intrusion detection, and security operations
Proven experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, MFA, PAM, and email security
Deep knowledge of enterprise technologies and processes (Virtualization, Cloud Computing—especially Azure and AWS, Enterprise endpoint protection, data loss prevention)
Advanced knowledge of network protocols and operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, Databases)
Proven ability to lead and influence across teams and during crisis moments
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills with exceptional follow-up and sense of urgency
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
Strong personal commitment to integrity and professionalism
Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional business partners
Preferred
CISSP or other security-related certifications (CEH, GCIH, GIAC) preferred
