Responsibilities

The Benefits Specialist will receive, respond to, and resolve complex benefit questions, concerns, and problems from employees, HR, and leadership through high volume phone calls and emails

Research rules, plan documents, CBAs, and regulations to provide accurate benefit resources and materials regarding benefit eligibility, options, and applicable timelines to employees and HR

Receive, process, and audit benefit enrollments and changes according to established policies and procedures

Assist with development and presentation of benefits communications, surveys and informational materials related to regulatory changes, annual enrollment, health screenings, acquisitions, or any other required communication

Research and resolve data-related issues and ensure integrity and accuracy of benefits data through audits and reconciliation of self-billing invoices; correct discrepancies in coordination with HR, finance, and vendors as required

Participate in compliance-related matters in partnership with internal and external vendors, including (but not limited to) assisting in completion of annual plan audits, non-discrimination testing, and other similar items
