Responsibilities
Taking ultimate technical ownership of Zocdoc’s expansion into several new and innovative offerings, including roadmapping, prototyping and leading 0-1 projects that spans across Zocdoc’s technology stack
Building solutions that scale to serve Zocdoc’s largest, most complex customers
Analyzing and decomposing complex product challenges to drive sound design decisions
Working hands-on with your team and shipping production code using C#, React, AWS technologies to millions of users autonomously
Collaborating with our agile team of dedicated and brilliant engineers, product managers, and designers
Mentoring your peers and colleagues by giving thoughtful feedback, with the notion that helping others means learning and growing yourself
Continuously improving our ability to deliver quality solutions through evolving engineering process, building technical capabilities and driving strategic investments in our platforms
Qualification
Required
Successfully architected and shipped high-impact, complex, user-facing products, with experience working across multiple areas of the technology stack and complex system integrations
Demonstrated history of solid and well rounded system design and architectural leadership skills
Improved developer productivity, efficiency and velocity by setting up and evangelizing best practices for coding, testing, deployment, observability and developer tooling
Successfully mentored other engineers in the past and have encouraged your peers to use engineering best practices
Been an outstanding and persuasive communicator capable of delving into technical project details and facilitating technical discussions while also being adept at presenting solutions at an appropriate level of abstraction for a diverse cross-functional audience, including non-technical stakeholders
A growth mindset and inspire excellence, acting as a multiplier for your team and the broader engineering organization
10+ years of significant expertise in full-stack development. Strong understanding of OO Fundamentals. Experience within AWS environments and a high emphasis on testing is a plus
