Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for monitoring, refining, and developing Credit strategies (including underwriting, pricing, loan amount & fees) for home secured personal loans
Create test/control champion/challenger tests and monitoring to inform future strategies
Provide scenario analysis/create financial impact sizing/develop new strategy test case
Perform ad-hoc analytics, create reporting and presentations
Work across functional areas to drive overall growth, product enhancements, and improve web funnel conversion rates across all channels
Partner with Decision Science to define and develop Credit models and tools
Maintain overall risk and return targets for investors, particularly in a changing economic environment
Qualification
Required
5-7+ years' experience in a similar analytical role
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, other quantitative major required; Master's degree a plus
Experience in the financial industry, credit risk and mortgage/home equity experience required
Must be proficient in Python or similar, SQL, and MS Excel
Must be proficient in interpreting data using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques
Excellent English written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
Highly independent and self-motivated to form opinions that are supported by data
Strong knowledge of modeling tools and techniques and use in strategy
Ability to understand competitive pressure, economic trends and their business impacts
High Energy with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable interacting and engaging with colleagues from all levels of management across all business units and third-party vendors
Demonstrated technical leadership skills including self-direction, coaching, and mentoring
Highly motivated, well organized, capable of developing and executing business analysis, and able to communicate status and results effectively
Ability to succeed within a cross-functional team emphasizing Collective Ownership in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
Be confident and willing to challenge status quo, but also willing to concede and execute other's ideas when necessary
Capable of teaching and learning from others to promote continuity of knowledge and personal development
Cultivate good working relationships with other business units, particularly Marketing, Operations, and Finance
Preferred
Previous experience with Business Intelligence reporting (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc) is desirable
