Mental Health Resource Guide Intern
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a leading humanitarian organization that responds to crises around the world. They are seeking a Mental Health Resource Guide Intern to support the development and organization of a comprehensive guide to local mental health services, ensuring it is user-friendly and accessible for diverse communities.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Research and compile relevant mental health services across Los Angeles and surrounding areas
Ensure all entries include accurate contact information, service descriptions, languages offered, eligibility criteria, and cost/accessibility info
Collaborate with staff, community partners, and service providers to gather new or updated resource data
Organize content in a digital, searchable format suitable for internal and client-facing use
Assist in promoting the guide internally across IRC departments
Qualification
Required
Interest in mental health, public health, social work, or community-based services
Strong research and writing skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
Able to work independently and take initiative
Preferred
Experience working with immigrant or refugee communities a plus
Familiarity with health literacy and/or trauma-informed practices is a plus
