Responsibilities

Utilize engineering skills to solve problems and create solutions to equipment downtime and operating costs as well as engineering for equipment modifications and new equipment installations
Perform basic engineering, calculations, investigations and tasks assigned
Collaborate with more experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems
Prepare or assist in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results
Plan and execute process improvements
Troubleshoot process and/or equipment issues, involving equipment for power generation, electrical power distribution, equipment drives, PLCs, and distributed controls
Use various computer systems and tools to perform data analysis to make critical data-driven decisions
Investigate and implement energy and cost saving projects
Work closely with maintenance technicians, operators and other engineers
Give presentations to mill management about project recommendations
Develop training materials and train maintenance technicians on new skills
Coordinate shutdown of equipment and operations; and similar work
Learn and utilize Lean/Six Sigma tools to improve process/reduce costs

Required

B.S. Degree in Engineering field is required- preferably Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Paper Science, Occupational Health & Safety
Highly motivated, results-driven individual who can also perform well in a team setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Permanent authorization to work in U.S
