Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes and workflows for UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) assembly and component production
Analyze production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework
Collaborate with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and seamless production ramp-up
Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, value stream mapping, and Kaizen events
Create and maintain documentation such as work instructions, SOPs, PFMEAs, and process control plans
Support the integration of automation and digital manufacturing tools to improve process capability
Conduct time studies, cost analysis, and capacity planning for current and future production needs
Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards including AS9100, ITAR, and ISO requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
5-9 years of aerospace industrial or manufacturing engineering experience
Proficiency in CAD and manufacturing software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ERP/MRP systems)
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and statistical process control
Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
Familiarity with Department of Defense quality and compliance standards
Knowledge of automation systems or Industry 4.0 technologies

Preferred

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and PMP preferred
Brings a positive mindset and an eye for innovation
Strong Project Management experience
