Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of operations engineers, setting standards for reliability and automation
Act as incident commander for high-severity events; drive root cause analysis and publish post-mortems
Engineer observability (metrics, logs, traces) and define SLIs/SLOs for critical services
Automate operational workflows and build self-healing systems to reduce manual toil
Optimize Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters and containerized applications for performance and scalability
Partner with development on production readiness, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies
Collaborate across global teams to ensure consistent processes and operational excellence worldwide
Qualification
Required
7+ years in production engineering or DevOps for distributed systems
Proven leadership experience guiding teams in high-availability environments
Hands-on expertise with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — required
Strong experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and Java/WebLogic
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation and tooling
Experience defining SLIs/SLOs, implementing observability, and leading incident response
Excellent communication and decision-making under pressure, especially in global contexts
Preferred
Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) or financial systems experience
Technical phone support background
