Civil-Transportation Engineering Intern CM
GAI Consultants, Inc. is looking for a Civil-Transportation Engineering Intern. The intern will evaluate and apply standard techniques for tasks related to transportation projects, assisting experienced planners and engineers in various responsibilities including data collection, design tasks, and report writing.

Responsibilities
Data collector in the field
Perform specific portions of a broader assignment of an experienced planner/engineer/inspector
Perform standard computations or basic analysis
Prepare drawings and visual aids
Observe construction activities
Assist in maintaining equipment inventory
Perform design tasks
Perform quantity estimates
Attend project meetings with senior staff
Responsible for writing report sections
Responsible for basic QA/QC tasks; review of own work
Assists at various meetings including public and client meetings
Qualification
Required
Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in related discipline such as civil engineering or planning from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent
Self-motivated and strong work ethic
Strong organizational skills required; ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
