Research Assistant II - Martins Lab
The University of Florida is seeking a self-driven Research Assistant II to work on NIH-funded projects aimed at developing immune interventions against HIV/AIDS using nonhuman primate animal models. The successful applicant will perform research, provide analysis of results, and assist in designing experiments while working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities
Protein expression and purification; ELISA; cell culture; and data analysis and interpretation
Compiles experimental data into reports, providing interpretation and analysis of results
Organizes and prepares experimental data for publications and scientific communications. Assists with scientific writing
Designs and procures specific scientific components, such as custom plasmids, viral vectors, and recombinant proteins
Provides guidance and training to department/laboratory personnel
Assists with the management and procurement of laboratory equipment and supplies. Also contributes to the tracking of equipment statuses and helps schedule and coordinate equipment maintenance with servicing companies
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of experience; a master's degree and two or more years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
