Responsibilities
Installing new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
Installation and Administration of Dell and Cisco UCS servers
Operating systems - Linux and Windows Server environment, and VMWare
Storage Area Network (Pure Storage)
Backup Systems (NetBackup & Synology)
Databases (Oracle, MySQL, SAP, HANA, etc)
Installation and administration of Apache/Tomcat and IIS
Configuring and maintaining firewalls, routers and switches
Cisco networking equipment and VOIP phone systems
Active Directory
TCP/IP Networking, Network Protocols and Infrastructure (DHCP & DNS)
Recommend and take part in the decision-making process of hardware and office automation software purchases based upon company needs
Hire and direct services of third party network consultants and contractors as approved by management
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years of Systems Administration experience installing new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
Hands-on knowledge and experience with Installation and Administration of Dell and Cisco UCS servers
Operating systems - Linux and Windows Server environment, and VMWare
Storage Area Network (Pure Storage)
Backup Systems (NetBackup & Synology)
Databases (Oracle, MySQL, SAP, HANA, etc)
Installation and administration of Apache/Tomcat and IIS
