Responsibilities

Work on civil and environmental engineering projects primarily associated with solid and residual waste facilities

Completion of engineering tasks such as airspace, excavation, and fill volume calculations

Preparation, review and compilation of technical reports

Stormwater management system, landfill grading, leachate management and landfill gas collection system designs

Assist with field work - Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) - for landfill cell, gas collection system, and cap construction and environmental monitoring of landfill facilities

Interact with CEC office and field staff, clients, regulators, and contractors

Contribute to the overall completion of landfill design, construction and certification projects

Split time between the office and the field

Required

B.S. in Civil Engineering

2-5 years of professional engineering experience

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through writing

Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks

Organizational skills

Ambition with a desire to learn and apply new skills

Preferred

EIT or FE certification preferred

Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, , and/or stability software preferred
