Responsibilities
Perform company- and fund-level due diligence, prepare marketing materials (CIMs, Teasers, etc.) and other transaction-related documentation
Financial analysis and modeling including LBOs, continuation fund models, waterfalls
Assist in managing buy-side investor outreach and due diligence (e.g., sponsor team meetings, management team meetings, on-site diligence visits)
Contribution in preparing responses to due diligence requests from potential secondary investors
Communicate and collaborate regularly with Moelis’ industry and financial sponsor coverage team members
Maintain databases of secondary market transactions, buy-side investors (profiles, strategies, investment preferences), broader market data to assist with marketing materials
Communicate regularly with buy-side investors (secondary investors, family offices, SWFs, insurance firms, FoFs, asset managers, etc.)
Conduct secondary market research including identifying trends in the alternatives investment industries
Conducting ad hoc industry research
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3-5 years post-college financial services experience
Understanding of the private equity industry and secondaries industry
Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to learn
Keen attention to detail
Strong analytical and technical skills (including extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Ability to think creatively in order to solve problems
Excellent communication skills
Organized, with good judgment and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
