Responsibilities
Thoroughly inspects all rooms for cleanliness and maintenance issues
Records inspection results and changes the status of rooms that are ready after rooms have passed inspection
Ensures proper use of inventory and supplies
Reports any missing, damaged or maintenance issues in rooms immediately
Resolves guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner
Communicates any guest issues and feedback to the management team to ensure appropriate actions are taken
Coordinates, prioritizes, and assigns responsibilities to Housekeeping staff in the absence of the manager
Complies with and ensures compliance with security procedures
Assists in training new housekeeping staff as needed
Assists with housekeeping and other duties as needed
Understands and follows all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs
Enforces correct use of chemicals and equipment as trained
Checks all cleaning aids and equipment, ensuring compliance with hotel safety guidelines
Complies with and ensures compliance with key, radio and security procedures
Ensures housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, & friendly manner
Assists in cleaning guestrooms and processing laundry as needed
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate basic English
Solid knowledge of all duties related to the housekeeping department
Strong organization, attention to detail, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
Excellent communication skills
