CNC Machining Division Estimator
Ascentec Engineering is hiring a CNC Machining Division Estimator who will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate setup time, cycle time, programming time, and overall alignment with Ascentec’s core competencies. The Estimator will supply critical inputs for accurate, timely quotations while utilizing deep machining and manufacturing expertise.

Responsibilities
Review and interpret customer RFQs (prints, 3-D models, and specifications)
Estimate key quote inputs: manufacturing process, setup time, machine runtime, material type/size, programming time, post-machining needs, and departmental routing
Use advanced software tools to improve quote turnaround, efficiency, and accuracy
Deliver highly accurate quotes within short timeframes while meeting customer cost targets and seeking creative solutions as needed
Participate in project teams and continuous-improvement initiatives
Read and interpret complex blueprints, including GD&T callouts
Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
Provide feedback to product designers on manufacturability and design improvements
Identify issues proactively, lead root-cause analysis, and drive process improvements that support a lean environment
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing and CNC machining with demonstrated machining expertise
Proven ability to review and interpret aerospace OEM manufacturing specifications
Proficiency with solid-modeling and CAM software (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and/or Mastercam preferred)
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of developing creative manufacturing methods and orders of operation
Demonstrated capacity to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines; self-motivated and able to work independently
Self-starter who is motivated, flexible, and well organized
Reliable, dependable, and honest
Team-oriented with a positive, customer-focused attitude
Professional and respectful in all situations
Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and willingly assists others as needs evolve
Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
