The instructor will provide classroom and lab instruction, utilizing the NCCER curriculum, and prepare students for careers in the electrical field while maintaining communication with students and adhering to university policies.

Be able to perform and supervise trade-related work
Maintain a safe working environment
Work with classroom-related technology i.e. Canvas, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner
Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LUโ€™s Christian model and Mission โ€“ Training Champions for Christ
Supervising lab assistants, where applicable

Required

Minimum of four years of field experience
Journeyman's electrical license
Resume must demonstrate experience in both residential and commercial work
Industry-recognized licenses or certifications
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to understand, speak, and write English
Possess public communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Computer skills
Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems
May be required to travel
May be required to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard
Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally
Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus
Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business
Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds and must be able to lift 50 pounds
Regularly required to perform work related to the trade

Preferred

Preferred that the instructor have a college degree
