Responsibilities

Participate in the design and development of ByteDance's Multi-Cloud CDN platform, including control-plane systems like domain management, content management, scheduling systems and AIOPs

Help construct an intelligent scheduling system to optimize ByteDance's global traffic management based on business scenarios, resource levels, cost control, service quality, and transmission protocols

Assist in building unified, scalable, and observable platform capabilities to support performance, cost, stability, and compliance

Required

Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java, C++) in a Linux development environment

Strong fundamentals in computer science, including networking, distributed systems, or backend platform design

Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and cloud-native software development

Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026

Preferred

Prior experience or coursework related to CDN, edge computing, or large-scale infrastructure

Familiarity with network protocols, message queues, monitoring systems, or traffic scheduling strategies

Enthusiasm for building backend systems that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability
