Responsibilities

The successful candidate should be community-minded with the capacity to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of multi-experienced engineers, make independent decisions, resolve complex problems, engage in business development and client management

Halff’s water and wastewater practice are primed for growth and we are looking for someone to lead the way in growing this practice within our firm and in the East Texas area

In addition to project delivery responsibilities, candidates must be able to perform business development, manage budgets, personnel, schedules, sub consultants, and client interaction

The candidate must also have the ability to support operations managers and practice leaders in business development and pursuit of Water/Wastewater opportunities

Required

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree

12-15 years plus of experience with Water/Wastewater projects, involving treatment processes, water pipeline, sanitary sewer, and/or pump facility design, modeling and planning

Licensed PE, preferably in Texas or can obtain immediately

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Must be self-directed, yet a team player comfortable with leading and directing others, with a focus and drive for quality, integrity and success

Experience leading a project team

Experience with marketing and business development

Experience with interacting with clients and leading projects

Experience managing budgets, schedules, and sub-consultants
