Responsibilities

Take charge of electrical engineering design
Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) with Revit MEP software and CAD drafting with AutoCAD
Conduct drawing production, specification writing, and discipline coordination across various trades
Perform shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site assessments, and code compliance evaluations for MEP systems on diverse projects
Collaborate with other Dewberry offices and review MEP systems designed by others
Interface with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients
Thrive in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment

Required

Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an accredited university
5+ years of progressive design and project management experience, minimum 2+ years performing power system studies
Accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in North Carolina
Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines as needed
Possess good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
Well organized, with good understanding of electrical power system software, applicable codes, national standards, and electrical safety
Attend client and contractor meetings and prepare meeting minutes
