Responsibilities

Perform engineering calculations to compute the stresses developed in a crane runway structure
Evaluate the static/dynamic strength and fatigue life of structural steel runway structures for the United States and Canada
Use of RISA 3D, vendor software, KC Developed Programs and other in-house built analytical tools to perform and present structural calculations of runway structures conforming to the specifications of AISC/ASCE/CSA/CMAA
Support customers and team members as an expert when troubleshooting issues that arise onsite during installation, commissioning or the warranty period of a project
Occasionally support sales and offer support during the quotation phase of complex projects to provide guidance on design options during the quotation stage
Participate in continuous improvement efforts

Qualification

Structural EngineeringEIT CertificationASCE/IBC CodesAISC/CSA StandardsRISA 3DMicrosoft ExcelCAD ProgramsElectric Overhead Traveling CranesTeam SupportContinuous Improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Have an EIT certification, with plans or desire to obtain a PE license
3-5 years of related industry experience
Knowledge of ASCE, IBE codes and seismic conditions
Experience in both Microsoft excel (can perform complex functions) and CAD programs

Preferred

Knowledge of AISC/CSA and CMAA is considered an asset
Experience with electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes is an asset but not required
