Court Operations Specialist III (Office of Project Management) - Honolulu, Oahu
The Hawai`i State Judiciary is seeking a Court Operations Specialist III to conduct complex studies and assignments related to program development and court operations improvement. The role involves administrative tasks such as preparing budget requests, researching matters, and resolving problems.

Responsibilities
Independently conducts a variety of complex studies and assignments involving program development, development of new or revised procedures, review of programs for effectiveness and sound practices, legislation or impact of proposed legislation, and improvement of court program operations; and performs other duties as required
The position will also assist with administrative housekeeping functions, e.g., preparing budget request, researching matters, preparing reports and correspondence, and investigating and resolving problems
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree
Current and valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle
One and one-half (1-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in analyzing, evaluating, developing, improving managerial policies, practices, systems, methods and procedures
One and one-half (1-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in independently performing professional work involving written analysis, evaluation and recommendations for problem resolution in a court or legal setting
Satisfactory completion of all academic requirements for a Master's degree in business or public administration or related field may be substituted for one and one-half (1-1/2) years of Specialized Experience
Satisfactory completion of all academic requirements for a Ph.D. degree in business or public administration or related field may be substituted for two and one-half (2-1/2) years of Specialized Experience
Graduation from an accredited law school may be substituted for two and one-half (2-1/2) years of Specialized Experience
Preferred
Considerable knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro and the ability to develop and manipulate spreadsheets and effectively set up systems to track projects
Skills in the area of reading blueprints and technical documents
Considerable knowledge of the State Procurement Office rules, the Judiciary's Financial Administrative Manual, and electronic systems such as HiePRO, Hawaii Compliance Express and 4Gov
