Ultrasound Technologist PRN

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient and is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist on a PRN/per diem basis. In this role, you will perform sonogram examinations, process ultrasound images, and maintain communication with radiologists to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner
Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner
Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images
Maintain statistical results for quality improvement
Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test result

Required

A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program
Valid ARDMS certification or RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) or ARDMS AB (abdomen specialty) or ARDMS OB/GYN within 1 year
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, clerical, basic computer, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions

Preferred

General + Vascular experience highly preferred
