Responsibilities

Develop tools to help sift through large datasets to identify information relevant for modeling efforts
Create system models from circuit diagrams, schematics, source code, signal processing algorithms, etc
Work in multi-disciplinary teams to tackle challenging problems from a wide variety of technologies to develop innovative cybersecurity solutions
Document, demonstrate, and present research
Solve real world problems that have an impact on national security

Required

Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by the U.S. Government
Active CI poly or willingness to obtain one
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Proficiency with modeling tools: SPICE, MATLAB
Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C/C++, Python, etc
General understanding of electrical engineering: Circuit and flow diagrams, signal processing chains, network traffic data
Willing to travel frequently from an STR office to the customer location in MD, or spend the majority of time at customer location

Preferred

Advanced foreign language skills
Experience with digital twin development
Expertise in modeling signal processing algorithms, filter design, etc
Embedded systems or firmware analysis experience
Knowledge of reverse engineering techniques
Analyzing protocols or message structures
Knowledge of binary file structures and formats
Developing automated reverse engineering or software analysis tools
Developing disassembler/decompiler modules
Debugging software without source code
Analyzing and reconstructing code/data flow
