Responsibilities
Perform a variety of Civil and Water Resource planning and design tasks for projects
Produce final design products and study analyses and deliverables
Communicate effectively with staff and with internal and external clients
Manage time and budgets effectively
Maintain a good record of project successes as demonstrated by repeat business from clients
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Civil Engineering
PE Registration in California, or ability to obtain CA registration within 1 yr
4-8 years of experience in the water resources field
Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil3D is required
Potable drinking water experience
Foundational experience as a project engineer producing final design products and study analyses and deliverables
Good communication skills with staff and with internal and external clients
Good organization habits, time management, and budget management
Good record of project successes as demonstrated by repeat business from one or more clients
Good references
Preferred
Client relationships are a plus, but not a requirement; we'll consider candidates from outside our area willing to relocate
Water supply design (pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks, etc)
Levee design
Hydrologic/Hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-FDA, InfoWater, etc.)
