Executive Dir of the St John Paul II Nat Shrine
Knights of Columbus is a tax-exempt Catholic fraternal benefit society that provides financial security to members and their families. The Executive Director is responsible for leading the Shrine’s mission, overseeing its programs and exhibits, and strengthening relationships with Catholic apostolates and Church hierarchy.

Responsibilities
The Director will oversee the Shrine as a national and international place of pilgrimage and prayer, as well as a center for intellectual and cultural renewal stemming from and faithful to the vision and thought of St John Paul II
The Director will strengthen relationships and develop partnerships with other Catholic apostolates and the hierarchy of the Church in the United States
Working closely with KCCF and Charities leadership, the Director will lead the development and implementation of fundraising activities for the Shrine
The Director will also perform other duties for the Executive Office of the Supreme Knight as assigned
Qualification

Proactive approach to addressing issues
Extensive knowledge of the Catholic Church
BA or BS degree
Masters or equivalent in theology, business, museum studies, law or other related field
8-10 years of related management experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
Preferred
A theological and/or practical grounding in the teaching of the Church, especially as it relates to the teaching of John Paul II such as the relation between faith and reason, the role of the family, Catholic Social Teaching, religious freedom or other area
A demonstrated capacity for relationships with Church hierarchy throughout the country as well lay leaders in apostolic and intellectual endeavors in the DC area
