Responsibilities

Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances

Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text

Able to interpret accurately. The ability to consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required. Has a good understanding of one of more regional dialects

Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression. Candidate needs to posses excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports

Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts Web

Must posses computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research on the Web

Excellent English-language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings

Required

TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (4 years or more of on-the-job experience in the Specific HLT field)

Minimum of THREE years of work as a professional translator and/or interpreter within the past seven years, OR a recently completed M.A. degree in translation and/or Interpretation

Ability to translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level printed materials into correct grammatical American English

Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text

Ability to interpret accurately, with consecutive interpretation skills and understanding of one or more regional dialects

High degree of accuracy and expression in transcription of audio or internet materials

Excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports

Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts

Computer skills including MS Office for producing written translations and products

Excellent English-language verbal communication skills to present briefings

Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools & Applications

Familiarity with PowerPoint
