MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, ensuring diagnostic quality images, and providing training for MR Safety Trained Personnel.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate excellence by consistently producing MRI images of diagnostic quality on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric
Follow established scanning protocols and operate the MRI scanner and related equipment efficiently and effectively
Complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organizes and prioritizes workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands
Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute & challenging patients; possess skill to modify positioning and scanning factors when standard cannot be performed
Possess knowledge of disease processes and image these findings adequately; communicate them to the Radiologist
Demonstrate accountability for clinical responsibilities and safety practices in the MR department
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology
Completion of courses in MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging and cross-sectional anatomy
One year of experience performing MRI – Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures
Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
MRI post-primary certifications required 1 year post MRI assignment
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
